PLEASE CONTACT THE INDIVIDUAL EDGE PROTECTION SYSTEM MANUFACTURER TO ENQUIRE ABOUT TRAINING DATES AND COSTS.

Edge Protection Operative Course

The EPF Edge Protection Operative course delivers the core elements from the Code of Practice, BS EN 13374: 2013+A1: 2018 and safe working methods on a leading edge.  This includes aspects of PFPE, the different types of system available, main system components and common hazards.

A short written multiple choice question paper evidences the delegates understanding of the material delivered, and when the test is passed, the course delegates are issued with a paper certificate and EPF Training Card.  Once completed, the delegates undertake manufacturer/system specific training for the products they install.

By evidencing the EPF Edge Protection Operative training and the manufacturer specific training, delegates are able to obtain their CSCS Blue Skilled Worker EPF Edge Protection Operative card, renewable after five years by re-training.

Edge Protection Manager Course

The EPF Edge Protection Manager course delivers similar core elements from the Code of Practice, BS EN 13374: 2013+A1: 2018 and safe working methods on a leading edge.  More time is spent identifying hazards often seen on edge protection systems as a result of poor installation, tampering and adjustment.  The course is designed to enable those managing sites with edge protection systems installed to carry out weekly inspections and identify when corrective action is required.
